His work is deeply influenced by the Japanese concept of Kanky Ongakuor environmental musicwhich focuses on crafting soundscapes that help the listener connect with their surroundings. Much of Quinn Redmonds music draws from the work of composer Satoshi Ashikawa, who described his work as a sound scenery to be listened to casually drifting like smoke. This philosophy is central to Quinn Redmonds compositions, which blend seamlessly into their environment, encouraging stillness and a deeper engagement with everyday life. In addition to his solo work, Quinn Redmond is a member of the Irish band Throwing Shapes and has also collaborated with numerous artists, including Albert Karch, C.R Gillespie, and Francis Harris. He has released music on respected labels such as WRWTFWW Records and Hidden Harmony Recordings, earning recognition for his delicate approach to the shape of sound.
