13 Songs is where most people start with Fugazi, and it is not really an album at all. It gathers the band’s first two EPs, 7 Songs from 1988 and Margin Walker from 1989, onto one disc, which puts Waiting Room, Bulldog Front, Suggestion and Burning all in a row before Margin Walker’s tighter, angrier half arrives. Ian MacKaye and Guy Picciotto had only just started sharing a band, and you can hear them working out how two voices fit in one song. Remastered at Silver Sonya in 2002.
