With their latest album released in July of this year (No Flowers Grow In Cement Gardens) entering the top 10 album chart and topping the indie chart at No.1, they then announced a special and limited edition Black & Amber colour re-pressing of their 5th album THE D THEY PUT BETWEEN THE R&L. Black & Amber, being the first track on the album, left a substantial impact since its release. Cillian Murphy gave the band a big shout out playing Black & Amber on his prestigious BBC 6 radio slot. In the last couple of weeks Christy Moore announced he would release his cover version of the track as lead single from his own highly anticipated new album, as well as including another song off THE D entitled Lemon 7s on his tracklist.
